BREAKING NEWS: Presidential contender John McCain to participate in Washington D.C. event!!
Well I’m not quite sure I’ll be participating in this event, mostly because of the extreme pain that seems to be associated with this type of activity, but for those of you that are so inclined, June 10th is the official day… if there isn’t an event already scheduled in your town- you can start one up..
From the website, the idea behind it is:
“We face automobile traffic with our naked bodies as the best way of defending our dignity and exposing the vulnerability faced by cyclists and pedestrians on our streets as well as the negative consequences we all face due to dependence on oil, and other forms of non-renewable energy.”
Well, I’m not quite sure how being buck naked on a bike helps all this out- other than to draw attention via the media…
